Overview

The Certificate II in Horticulture is your entry into the horticulture industry. You will learn a range of basic practical skills and gain knowledge you need to start your career in horticulture.

Careers

This qualification could lead to employment as an assistant or labourer in a horticultural setting. You will gain employable skills but you will also be equipped with the knowledge to proceed into further education in this area. You might like to think about undertaking the Certificate III in Horticulture.

Pathways

Successful completion of this course will give you a great start for moving on to studying Certificate III in Horticulture or to start an apprenticeship in this field.

Course Delivery

Trainee delivery – this course will be delivered over a 6 to 18 month’s period. Assessments can take place in a work place or class room situation.

Entry Requirements

Each student will undertake a Pre-Training Review before enrolling to help confirm the proposed course is suitable. It will provide valuable information about an individual’s existing skills and knowledge, language, literacy and numeracy skills and whether the course will help in achieving learning and/or employment goals.

  3. Contract period : 03 – 5 years and renewable.
  4. Probation Period : 01 month
  5. Work Location : Mildura – Darwin – Katherine – Georgetown – Mareeba – NZW – Tasmania and Act.
  6. Basic working hour’s : 08 to 10 hours per day, 05 days per week.
  7. Accommodation : Charge by the Employees average 90 AUD $ a week.
  8. Medical/ Insurance : Provided of charge by the Employee.
  9. Taxes : Provided of charge by the Employee 15,05 %.
  10. Air tickets : Air tickets from Indonesia to Australia shall be paid by the Employee
  11. Visa : Paid by the Employees themselves.
  12. Other : As per Australia Law.
