What do I need in order to file my tax return? 

When you sit down to file your tax return, be sure to have the below documents close by:

T4 slip

This is a summary of the income that you earned and the tax that you paid in a particular tax year while working in Canada. 

If you work in multiple jobs in Canada, you will receive multiple T4 slips.

Final Cumulative Payslip 

This is the payslip attached to your last paycheque. It shows your year-to-date earnings and how much tax you’ve paid.
